What this site is, and how it works
Is this a tour operator, or a comparison site?
No. This site is an independent comparison guide, not a tour operator, winery or booking platform. Nothing here is run, owned or hosted by us: no vehicles, no seats, no cellars. The job is comparing the fourteen bookable wine tours around Verona, Valpolicella, Soave and Lake Garda and linking to each operator's live listing, where the booking itself happens. Descriptions of a day report what the listing publishes, not a day anyone on this site has taken.
Is there any charge to use it?
Nothing. Reading, comparing and clicking through are free, and there is no account to create. The site earns a commission when a booking is completed after a click-through: the platform that sells the tour shares part of the commission it already receives from the operator. That share comes out of the platform's existing margin, so the price you pay matches the price on the live listing you would reach anyway. The disclosure page explains the arrangement in full, and the comparisons hold up as research whether or not you book through a link.
Where does the actual booking happen?
Every booking takes place on the live listing, never here. A card or button opens the operator's own page on the platform selling that tour, and from there the process is the usual one: choose a date and option, pay on the platform, receive a voucher with pickup details by email. This site holds nothing, charges nothing and confirms nothing. It also means the live listing is the authority on price, availability and terms at the moment you book, so it is worth a final glance before paying.
Money, ratings and refunds
Why do prices start with "from"?
Because each tour is priced by date, option and group size, so a single fixed figure would mislead. All fourteen tours publish a from-price in US dollars, from $34 (checked September 2026) for the Soave historical-centre tasting up to $632 for the eight-hour private day from Venice, Padua or Verona. The from-price is the comparison floor; the live listing gives the exact figure for your date.
Are these figures the live prices?
They are from-prices pulled from each live listing, so treat them as a reliable floor, not a quote. Everything displays in US dollars. What you pay on the day you book shifts with the date, the selected option, group size and any extras. Use the number here to compare tours, then trust the listing for the final figure. Where do ratings and review counts come from?
They are the booking platforms' own published figures, copied exactly and checked against a second read of the listing. Ratings across the lineup run from 4.6 to 5.0. A rating is never averaged or adjusted to make a rounder number, and the review counts are shown as published, from a single review on the newest private day to several hundred on the best-established tastings. No testimonial appears here unless a real traveller published it on a real listing.
What if I need to cancel a booking?
Every tour in the lineup states free cancellation, so holding a date early usually costs you nothing but a click. The exact window is set by each operator and stated on the listing, which is the authority for your option. The small-group Valpolicella days and the Garda tastings are the ones that fill first in summer and around harvest, so if your dates are fixed, book early and cancel later if you must.

When is the best time for a Verona wine tour?
Any month works, but the seasons feel different. Harvest in the Valpolicella usually runs mid-September to early October, the vineyards busy and the valley at its liveliest. September to November is the most dependable stretch of visiting weather. June to August is the peak window for Verona itself, so tours book heaviest then. On Lake Garda the summer months bring the crowds to the shore towns as well, which pushes the Bardolino and castle-cruise tastings up the busy list. In the peak weeks the small-group valley days and the e-bike tour fill first, so reserve ahead.
Is a guided tour necessary, or can I go independently?
You can drive, if someone in your party sits out the tasting. Italy's legal limit is 0.5 g/l, and 0.0 for drivers under 21, anyone in the first three years of a licence, and professionals, with fines and licence suspension above that. The Valpolicella estates take visitors by reservation, and Verona's historic centre is a camera-controlled ZTL. A guided tour includes the driver, the reservations and the tasting fees; the guides weigh it honestly.
Where do the tours meet in Verona?
Each option handles it differently. Two of the three half-day Amarone tours collect guests at Verona hotels, the chateau tour meets at its Marano estate with pickup optional, and the grand Valpolicella tour sets off from Piazza Bra 28. Lake Garda departures are collected from Peschiera del Garda, Bardolino and other towns along the shore. The private day trip running from Venice, Padua or Verona offers hotel pickup in each of those cities. Winery-direct tastings in Soave, the Garda hills and the hills above Verona simply start at the estate, and the Sirmione cruise embarks in Sirmione. Who handles questions about an existing booking?
The confirmation email, always. It holds your reference, the pickup instructions and a message channel reaching both the operator and the platform that took your payment. This site cannot view a booking, move a date, add a traveller or process a refund, since nothing runs through it. For a same-day question, with pickup hours away, that confirmation channel is the only one that can act.
